Fortuna

FORTUNA premiered in 2011 and is the 11th original Circo Luci production. Building on the success of the original touring production of Circo Luci in 2003, the show continues to feature the colorful kaleidoscope of characters and personalities and is a direct offshoot of the original 2003 production.

FORTUNA incorporates the latest in staging and lighting technologies and fuses them with the acrobatic theatrical cirque-style artistry performed on stage.

FORTUNA from Circo Luci follows a tribe on the quest for “luck” and a personage in search of the source of her fortune and why her stars align.

The show is a quest seeking the supernatural and spiritual forces that grant or take away good fortune. The concept of “luck” or “good fortune” has captivated the imaginations of people since the beginning of time. Luck is a series of supernatural beliefs regarding fortune and can be manipulated through certain actions or rituals influencing the outcome.

Fortuna leads her tribe back through time seeking the source of her luck, encountering mystical and wondrous worlds and creatures along the way, ultimately fulfilling her destiny.

This European styled theatrical circus features specialty performers from around the world that perform feats of strength, daring and flexibility.

FORTUNA from Circo Luci is available for booking for weekly engagements worldwide. The show has been designed to perform in a theater but can also be presented in various other types of performance spaces.

SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS

Shipping requirements can be scaled depending on show size and scope of technical infrastructure required for the performance. The show can adapt to existing staging, lighting and rigging layouts. POET Theatricals’ goal is to reduce the preproduction cost and installation of the show as much as possible, and we work with presenters to trim these expenses.

Examples of shipping requirements are:

Soft Sets The FORTUNA “Soft Set” production requires cargo space of one 24’ truck or a 40’ high-cube oceangoing container (for overseas productions). This includes all of the soft goods (theatrical drops) and video projection surfaces used in the production and staging of the performance. FORTUNA was designed for a “large show” experience with a minimum of hard sets to reduce load in times and to save in transport costs.

Turn-key Our “turn-key” production package adds all lighting, sound, venue required soft goods, venue rigging and staging for the show in a complete turn-key package. This additional technical support travels in 1 or 2, 53-foot tractor trailers, depending on the level of production support required for the venue.
